I have a Radeon 9000 PCI, and cannot get DRI CVS (xc) working with it correctly.
The Issues: The screen becomes scrambled after a period of time and then the system sometimes locks not long after. When attempting to run glxgears it appears to locked the system without output and screen becomes black. However, if I put printk's into the start of each function in the radeon*.c files of the drm, glxgears runs long enough to display fps output twice before the screen blanks to black and the system locks. NOTE: the results of the printk's were inconsistant enough not to point to anything specific at the time of reboot, I suspect (but can't proove) X may have still been running when screen blanked and keyboard locked. Quakeforge glx client runs until it gets to waiting for console input then it locks the system. (note this client does work on other systems with other cards, and withed with my voodoo2). I have applied the patch that removes the PCIGART_ENABLE from radeon_cp.c and radeon_dri.c. X works fine with DRI disabled, but as you probably know, it does software rendering. Sorry I haven't got more information for you, I am trying to lock it down, but it aint being co-operative. I hope what I have given is helpful.
