I'd like to add, that the lockups appear definitely _not_ to be TCL related. Maybe this is not new to you, but in case .... I tried to take some screenshots to document the 'dark lightning' issue for the FlightGear people: I log into my X session, this starts several 'aterm's. In one terminal window I set $RADEON_TCL_FORCE_DISABLE to 't'. In this window I'll start FlightGear afterwards. After FlightGear comes up, I toggle the view (side view is nicer to look at). Now I click into another window to start 'import' (from ImageMagick) to take a screen shot of the correctly coloured FlightGear window. In this moment the 'aterm' has the window focus. When I click on the title bar of my FlightGear window I get back the FlightGear window in foreground but the window does not get the focus back because the X server locks up before. I dont know how many reboots I did to take a single screen shot ;-) Slightly irritated, Martin. -- Unix _IS_ user friendly - it's just selective about who its friends are ! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.NET email is sponsored by: FREE SSL Guide from Thawte are you planning your Web Server Security?
