Thanks, I shall have to see how far I can crank this monitor up to try
and reproduce it first and see what breaks.

Sure, some of the difficulty here is the messages bouncing between 2 lists,
with editing so that only one set of information remains intact.

I can see the validity in applying Mike's patch, Redhat can do that for
their customers anyway, and there's nothing stopping that patch being
applied to dri until another appears, probably a good idea as everyone
is then happy.
