I would like to get my dual-head setup working with my Radeon 8500. I noticed that the current CVS r200 driver disables DRI if dual-head is enabled. Looking at the source it states the reason is due to syncronisation issues with xinerama, however since xinerama isn't the only way to do dual-head and I would be happy meanwhile to get separate screens going until xinerama+dri is fixed I thought I would try to enable it anyway.

I have run into some problems though:

1. The second monitor _always_ clones the first no matter what Option "CloneDisplay" is set to. The only difference made by the option is that some of the modes seem to drop down to 60Hz on the second head (VGA port) when CloneDisplay is not set to 0.

2. Probably as a consequence of 1 even without DRI using dual-head results in a situation where moving the pointer out of screen 0 into screen 1 gets the pointer unable to re-enter screen 0.

3. With DRI enabled it is only enabled on one head. No apparent attempt is made by the driver to initiasise it on the second. I haven't looked closely at the code yet so it might be something simple.

Both monitors are CRT's, both 17" Iiyama's.
