-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Just in case this is of any interest for you, I've been testing the savage dri drivers from S3 with XFree 4.2. It compiled with very few tweaks for kernel 2.4.21 and gcc 3.3.
I tested it with on a S3 Twister card from my Compal (!) laptop. It seems to perform quite well actually. The only problem seems to be that randomly once in a while it seems to hang my system (hard freeze, need to reboot) when I try to use an OpenGL based app. I also wanted to test it with 2.5.x kernels, but I was unable to compile it (too many changes to be made). Is there anyone who managed to do so?
