Does anyone have any hints as to whether r300 would work on the R500 series
upcoming, or is the difference in architecture going to be as much as between
r200 and r300?

I hear the PCI Express support in Mesa/DRI is a little lacking (or is it a
Linux kernel area, like lack of a pci-express 'gart' interface?) - and that
the R500 chips do not have any support for (or no OEM is planning) AGP bus
cards.

Is the PCI-Express stuff being actively resolved or is there a block?

Just curious, not nagging for it.
