recently I've read much about the progress on nouveau. They do a good job and
also at "public relations". One can get the information what is going on from
their site and it's quite up to date.
I think R300 needs something similar. I would like to help developing this

Sure, but if you don't have a broken install, /usr/X11R6 symlinks to
