There are currently two main options:
(1) If your code is relatively small (i.e. a patch that is not too
intrusive in regards to the current API), then I'd recommend posting it
to JIRA as a new feature or code improvement. The DSpace developers
review all new JIRA patches almost eve

This is, of course, if you aren't concerned about someone on that machine
deleting all your databases. Do you also allow anyone on localhost to access
the root account? :) If so, then that's what you're doing to PostgreSQL if you
set the postgres account to "trust".
