We just upgraded from DSpace 5.1 to 5.5 and are hitting the "take task" bug
as well. There is a comment on the Jira issue[0] with a one-line hack that
seems to work on our test server.
Can anyone comment on if the one-line hack to invalidate the authorization
cache check is appropriate or not?

Hi,
I ended up finding several other discussions about this on the mailing list
and it seems to be caused by the Access Rights Awareness introduced in
DSpace 4. Solr queries for searching and browsing include permissions that

this migration might be sensitive to upgrade timing (as in an upgrade from
5.6 to 6 doesn't need to run it at all), so maybe there is just a little
tweak required to this migration?

Hi, I am working on a test upgrade of our DSpace pilot server, from 5.6 to
6.0, and all the FlyWay migrations run sucessfully, with one notable
exception:

I can only assume some third party thing that get's downloaded during the

Hi Digna,
rather than answering your question, I'd like to point out that
DIM-Handler.xsl is part of an older theme (dri2xhtml, used by the
Reference theme) that hasn't been the default theme for many years. If
you want to make modifications, I really recommend you to start with a
newer theme - ei
Good Morning.
We are developing our DSpace repository and request your valuable help. The
interface we use is XMLUI.
Please tell us how to modify the DIM-Handler.xsl file structure to
customize the simple view of the item.

Sean,
I seem to be having the same issue with at least one user seeing zero
communities after he logs into DSpace (XMLUI). When I look at
dspace.log for this particular user I do see similar errors to yours:

Hi Mark and Joan,
I'm encountering the same issue. Is this bug issue have been submitted to
