Hello Tom,
Thanks for your contribution, we applied the changes of the 3 files that
you mention in the page https://github.com/DSpace/DSpace/pull/1598, and we
could not connect to an LDAP, did you find any other solution? Or are we
doing something wrong?
El martes, 3 de enero de 2017,
Today I was doing some manual entry of a few documents into our 6.0 release
of Dspace. During one sequence, I pasted an abstract into the box and hit
the NEXT button...finished data entry and when the system presented the
final "edit metadata?" option, it listed 2 instances of the abstract
I'm using XMLUI and I do have Google Analytics setup. Does the db.maxidle
configuration effect S3 connections? I would have thought it would only
effect Postgres connections.
Thanks

Hi Justin,
With production use, and encountering similar issues to you, I have made
fixes to our code to protect against http connection leaking with AWS S3
assetstore, and also to handle larger uploads/downloads. Here is some
commit history to the (5.x) S3BitStore:
Hello jcdalton,
which UI are you using and are you using google analytics?
For the time being you may set the config parameter db.maxidle to
something else than -1
see

Hope this helps

Tim,
Yes, in my first message I said that running the `update-sequences.sql`
script didn't help. :)
Not sure what happened to my install to make that not work!
Cheers,

Hi Alan,
No that should have no side effects. You are simply updating the database
sequence that controls the next handle assignment.
By the way, there's an easier way to fix these sorts of issues. Simply run
the provided `[dspace-src]/dspace/etc/postgres/update-sequences.sql` script
that comes
Hi
You can harvest records by set/collection but I don't believe you can
harvest information about one or more collections. You would need to
manually set up corresponding collections in your DSpace instance.

Hi
You can add more fields for indexing by editing dspace.cfg and specifying
additional fields under search.index.*.
More information about adding fields is available at
https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSPACE/Modify+search+fields.
Thanks

I can reply to myself as I have found a solution for my second problem. In
BTE used in SubmissionLookup we can use two phases for transformation and
in Phase 2 its possible to combine fields in one field. This Phase2-field
can be put into one metadata field. This way its working for me.

Hi all again,
at last I have tried the point 3., the handle table hack. At first, I was
happy how it works, however, it is not as pure as it looks like at first
sight.
The trouble is that hacking the handle table in the way you are pointing
different handles to the same DSpace object causes
Update, it looks like I can get the latest handle sequence using this query:
dspace=# select * from handle where handle_id=(select max(handle_id) from
handle);
And then update the handle_seq manually using:
dspace=# select setval('handle_seq',86873);
After this I am able to create collections
