It's been awhile since there has been any traffic on that, just wanted to
see if there are any updates / ETA regarding getting this change added to

I want to back up what Hrafn said. Questions are always welcome on mailing
lists regardless of the version of DSpace you are running. We still sometimes
see questions specific to DSpace 1.x, 3.x or 4.x (all of which are unsupported)
on mailing lists.
