We freezed all frontend access to our institutional dspace repository.
We now need to access some assetstore documents (pdf) from the backend. How
can we achieve this operation eg downloading a collection?

Hi Michel,
It would help to understand the errors you are seeing. There have been no
changes to the Assetstore folder/structure in DSpace 7...so the exact same
assetstore folder that you used in DSpace 6 should work perfectly fine in
DSpace 7. See our migration guide which notes to just copy
We migrated the database from 6.3 to 7.6 successfully, we opened the
front-end and it's ok, however the files (PDFs, Videos, etc) that were
saved do not load.
We put the path of the Assetstore folder (6.3) in dspace.cfg and local.cfg
and even then it didn't find it.
Do we need to report this path
