We are trying to change the headers/footers of DSpace. We modified the
.*.jar files in /opt/dspace-1.4.2-source/jsp/layout and then followed the
procedure to rebuild DSpace. Everything went well except that the
headers/footers are the same as they were before. Am I missing something??

I am running dspace 1.4.1 on linux enterprise Version 3 update 6 have
just tried copying the data folder and assetstore folder form my test

I have been experimenting with the grep command on my test server and
production server. The command to start the database seams to execute
but when I check for a process ID I do not get one for postmaster and I
verified there is no postmaster.pid file in data this time. Is

The first beta for DSpace 1.5 has been released. You may either
checkout the new tag directly from SVN or download the release from
sourceforge. One sourceforge you will not that there are two types of
releases:
dspace-1.5.0-beta1-release
dspace-1.5.0-beta1-src-release
Note, we are waiting for the sync with the maven central repository
for all the supporting artifacts... this should happen momentarily,
but until then the dspace-1.5.0-beta1-release will complain about not
finding dependencies. If your chomping at the bit to install and
encounter this,
