Hi DSpace list,
I need to create a static page with a search box that should search only
selected communities/collections OR use the default search box in the front
page but excluding some communities in the results.
If anyone had a solution (trick) for this, please let me know.

I've place the library for hs on the same level as library dspace and made it
explicit in the configuration file dspace.cfg.

Hello,
In the dspace 1.5.2 documentation says: "A collection may appear in more than
one community". I have created a collection contained in a community. Now, how
can I make that this collection will be part of a second community? I can't see
any option in the collection administrator.
Thanks
Hi All,
The next tangle for us is the handle service for this new server.
I see that in dspace 1.5.2 the jar is named differently than I used on the
server containing 1.5.1
Dspace\lib
Has handle-5.3.4.jar instead of handle.jar
Are they the same?

I'm not too sure what I'm taking about here which is why I'm putting it out to
the list for feedback rather than raising a jira issue. My understanding was
that Dspace provided transactional processing by setting the database
connection to auto-commit=false and doing a 'commit' once all processi

Hi Nicolás,
First you add this line:
webui.browse.index.6 = datecreated:item:datecreated
Then, a little low, add this:
webui.itemlist.sort-option.4 = datecreated:dc.date.created:date
And finally, add this in Messages.properties
browse.type.item.datecreated = Date created
Hope that help

Hi Baseer
About the license you should paste your license.txt file in a directory
that you put all your files like contents, Dublin_core.xml, file1.pdf,
file2.pdf, file3.pdf, file4.odt, license.txt
After that change to your DSPace bin directory and run commands as :
$cd dspace-src/dspa
Hi Nicolás,
I think that this can be done with the "Advanced/Item Wilcard Policy
Admin Tools", you can found it in http://yourdspace/dspace-admin/authorize
Good luck,
Oriol
