Based on the error, it sounds like you may be installing the
"dspace-4_x" branch from GitHub? That "dspace-4_x" branch in GitHub has
versions that look like "4.4-SNAPSHOT".
If you wanted to actually install DSpace 4.3, you'd want to use the
tagged "dspace-4.3" version in GitHub.

Several things:
1. DSpace 5.X requires Ubuntu 14.04.
2. You need to install NPM. See:

3. You need an open internet connection.

Not really trying to search in specific collection but in other solr objects
than items as I am using dspace-cris.
Well, if there isn't another option I will use search rather than browse,
but you know, the less modifies you make the easy to upgrade later.
