I'm trying to implement the MITSpecialGroup authentication in our dspace instance. I've attached the modified version of the MITSpecialGroup.java wit this note. I have created a group called KUMC users in the DB and would like to add any user who has a KUMC email to be added to this group. I've attached a copy of the modified version of the MITSpecialGroup file. Now when I log, I see a message on my dspace page saying Authorization Groups I am a Member of ....in which I see KUMC Users But when I look up the epersongroup2eprson table I do not see any members for this group. Is this code actually adding users to the KUMC Users group in the DB or is just making users a member of the group just for the user session and storing the group membership info in the cache? If it is indeed storing the group membership info in the Db where is it getting written to? Any insight will be very helpful. Thanks! - Lakshmi
