Hi,
I don't know if anyone has tried changing the file appender for log4j in
Dspace 1.5, but we're trying to use the DatedFileAppender and it's not
working. I have successfully installed the .jar in the local maven rep.,
and there are two other dependencies (JCharts and GeoIP) working fine so
I don't know what might be the issue.
When I start Tomcat it doesn't find the required class, even though the
jar is in the correct place in the local maven repository.
log4j:ERROR Could not instantiate class
[biz.minaret.log4j.DatedFileAppender].
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: biz.minaret.log4j.DatedFileAppender
....
log4j:ERROR Could not instantiate appender named "A1".
This works fine in 1.4.2, but as it's just a matter of copying it to the
lib folder I don't know what to do here.
