For some particular Unix? Methods vary.
I just dashed off a collection page for Unix/Linux startup scripts on
the wkik, and added my Gentoo Linux initscript. We may hope that
others will amend and extend it.
I think that runscript was obtained from Debian, so Red Hat and its
many derivatives
