When re-training message via the webui, it seems to take forever, and I
end up getting:
Gateway Time-out
The gateway did not receive a timely response from the upstream
server or application.
Is this a mysql issue, apache issue, or a dspam issue? Any thoughts on

I second this. The git version has some fixes for a couple very nasty
bugs. Not sure if it will solve your problem, but it solved two of mine.

I've really got to hand it to Franz... offlist, we traded a few emails
and his suggestions prodded me to figure out the problem.
- 1) I was for some reason, misinterpreting /usr/lib/sm.bin/smrsh as a
file, not a directory.
- 2) When I migrated from RHEL to Ubuntu, I brought over and then
mangled

that this is not a dspam issue. So, I apologize for the bandwith here,

I moved my dspam server to another machine... I've set it up to the
point where it is working, but I get these messages in teh log when I
try to move messages from quarantine:

If I look at a message marked as SPAM from the History tab, and I click
on retrain, the Performance tab shows Good Message Missed + 1. That
makes sense.
Now if I undo that, and retrain it to be SPAM, I see the SPAM messages
missed go +1. and Good Message Missed is unchanged.

MySQL purge script returned error code 1
I have given that user rights to the database:
GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON dspamDB.* TO 'myUser'@'localhost'
I think he was trying to say that dspam is awesome and after just a few
days, its accuracy was amazing. That's my take at least.

OK - so I had a ton of permissions issues after I upgraded, this was my
own fault b/c I had forgotten that my dspam binary usually runs w/
different perms that setup creates. Stevan got me mostly there and I
appreciate his help.

I am not running dspam as a daemon, but I want to change to TOE, rather
than TEFT.
I suppose what I need to do is edit dspam.conf and modify the line to:
Preference "trainingMode=TOE"
But this will still allow a user to override this setting, correct?
