Hi All
I got it. Here is what I did. Since I am using a Mac I have a program called
Parallels. I
rebooted the Mac and restarted Windows. Before I started Windows I unplugged
the
programming cable and the USB converter. Once I restarted Windows I started the
D-Chat

Hi Steve
Yup I checked all that stuff. I picked up the data cable from HRO

One more thing...The programming cable and the data cable are not the
same. The data cable takes RS232 from the PC (or converter) to a
miniature din plug on the ID800. sb

I am using the ID800 and trying to set it up for DATA Transmission.
I have the Icom Cable and using an MFJ USB to Serial adapter. The MFJ

software I am using is D-Chat and have tried dRATS. The software does
see the computer but

AND, I would suggest, you check the AGE of the software. I purchased
the CS-D800 software from our ham dealer here in Dallas and it was so
old it wouldn't connect to my radio. Software after 2006 seems to
work. Mine was dated "2004" and kept telling me I had the "wrong
radio" and "a firm
