check all your cabling and the cans, all it takes is a bad connector
or coax to shut your system down, that fact you can get in to it at 2 miles
tells me your rx amp has failed, or there is a short in the cabling between
the module and antenna... 1 lightning hit is all it takes to kill a system.

Our club bought a Dstar Repeater (IDRP4000v & IDRP2C).
For some reason the receive sensitivity is very poor. We can access the
repeater no more than 2 miles away maybe even less. We decided to send the
IDRP4000v to Icom for service and they told us that all is well and found
