Don't do it!
The 2200 with the DV card in it is still brain dead. Just a handful of
channels. Save your money and buy the 880! Or plan to end up selling
the 2200!

Minor update...
I am not the ham coordinator! I coordinate the digital net team. We
have a group of team leads with an overall ham coordinator who is Howard
WD5DBC.
Guess I need to finish my presentation now. :)

Hi Scott. Yes, the NVFMA gateway is down with a bad DSL modem. Plus we
have desense on our 70cm RF deck. My August and September projects.

Why not simply put the tactical call in the short message. Then it will
scroll by every time you transmit.

to see a slower speed DD mode we could use on lower bands.
Might be an improvement on 9600 bps packet on a band with better
propagation than 23cm.

Yes, it is nice to be coordinated on our DD mode access point. I manage
but have not tested it myself.
Also, D-STAR is an acronym (silly one but means Digital Smart Technology
for Amateur Radio) so I do not shorten it as DS but say D-STAR or D*.
Sorry for being picky.

Answer 3) Nope. We are supposed to self regulate so lets do that. Has
been working for a long time on other digital infrastructure stuff like
packet and APRS. We do plan local discussions on simplex DV calling
frequencies. And have been part of the T-MARC DV committee.

Thanks for updating the map.
In AZ Chandler, Mesa and Globe are out of place! Mesa is adjacent to
Phoenix area on the East side. Chandler is adjacent on the Southeast.
While Globe is further East into the next county.

Nope, the Icom DD mode is 0.5GMSK just like in the DV mode. Just higher
data rate. If you had fast enough switching on the amp you could
probably use class C amps since this is just Gaussian filtered minimum
shift FSK, i.e. FM. Same as for the DV mode.

Hi Manos,
I am not sure exactly what you are trying to set up. But this is what
worked or did not for a group of us here in Northern Virginia.
We do not have our local gateway up and running yet. But in prep for the
