Standard troubleshooting would suggest resetting each separately to
isolate the offending component.

Thank you everyone for all their input. I did try Nate's idea of removing the
"KE5KAF S" from the Gateway Registration. I thought this might be the problem
until late this evening.. Yup... my repeater did the funky chicken again!
As for Internet problems. I have my MTU set according to the

Nate, your always full of good ideas. I really hope this is the problem. I
removed the "S" of the system. Lets see now if that was the problem all along.
I am not sure where I found that, I think it was in the admin group. So I did
as it had said.
I am rebooting everything and will cro

Pete AE5PL recently noted problems with a Gateway that had the "S"

OK - if you are using your VA6 callsign then ...
maybe best to delete the user registration for KE5KAF

No the KE5KAF is the main callsign for the repeater. I do not use that call
when using Dstar. I am aware of the problems that would occur.
Thanks anyways...
Aaron,
You do appear to be using a 'user callsign - KE5KAF' for the 'repeater
callsign - KE5KAF C' (http://www.jfindu.net/dstarlh.aspx?rptr=KE5KAF) and
this is contrary to recommended practice for gateway operation. You could
run this past the trust server admins ([EMAIL PROTECTED]),

I understand how the error correction works. The audio problems are ONLY
happening with the use of the Gateway not locally. I remark that it sounds
like the system is bottlenecking!
I have had many conversations where the audio has gone garbled and then fixed
itself. If you listen to the aud

While we are all learning, I disagree from the posts that you have a packet
loss problem. The W6YYY system has been having measurable packet loss

The audio sample clearly reveals that something is wrong. Significant
information below is that the problem occurs only with remote traffic, not
with local traffic which generally outrules local RF equipment failure.

What I am hearing is R2D2 meaning to me that you have BANDWIDTH problems.
What is your TRUE bandwidth, Aaron?
Otherwise the audio sounds perfect. It is just dropping bits and can not

as too many bits are being dropped.
