Any chance of a conflict between standard HFS and HFS+ hard disk
formats here? I've happily used SCSI mode between reasonably similar
systems and hardware, but was recently unable to mount my 2300 with
known good cable/adapter/minidock on an LC with OS7.1 and standard
HFS.

If I partitions a 6GIG drive and use the PowerBook in SCSI disk mode will
each partition show up? It seems like it should but I was just wondering.

Seem to recall that the duo dock plus manual states that SCSI mode
not possible on the fullsized duo dock plus - it is a minidock thing.
Due to my deficient attention, I am not sure that this point has been
made in this thread.

While we're at it... I'd like to ask a question I've always wanted to
ask: Has anyone ever tried to link a powerbook to a dock (with a PB in
it, of course), or even to link two powerbooks in SCSI Mode? What about
termination in such a case? Apple TIL says that the Duo Series CPUs are

Scsi is a pretty sloppy standard. You need termination at both ends, but if
your cable is short enough and moon is full, you can get it to work
Hello,
I just installed OT/PPP and it added a modem control panel. Well it asks

apple 14.4 modem in it and cannot find the correct setting. What do I pick
or how do I modify the parameters to make it work.. Thank Y

hey john -
it's not as bad as it sounds. i still haven't taken on the trash
issue, but the other duo just started working all of a sudden. it's
still a little buggy, but i am pretty sure it's a software issue. i
put OS 8.1 on cos i couldn't find my 7.6 disc, but i think 7.6.1 is
the way to
startup disk will allow you to pick specific partitions. but the
only way to see if it works is to try try try...
