In my response to my query how I could get my Internal modem to
work on the road and my 56K modem to work in the dock (with my 280c running

About 4 months ago, I swapped a working quadra 840av for an OS 8.5 install
disk. Some people thought I was crazy. At the time, OS 8.5 disks were hard
to find. Aftermarket retailers were charging $80-$100 and they were going
on ebay for $60-$100. An 840av with better specs than mine went for $5
I have the 2400 docks and fixed both of them by edging the connector forward ( put a
little bit of plasctic or cardboard behind it inside the dock). The 2400 docks are
screwed shut from the bottom and open easily when the screws are removed.
