It looks like this may be resolved. It appears that the 2400 does not support the "Monitors" contol panel that comes with OS 8.6 on iMacs, and instead you must use the old "Monitors and Sound" control panel that shipped with OS 8.1. (By the way, Monitors and Sound" also requires a System Extensi
