I booted up my 2300c today and all seemed well until I saw the sad mac;

Does anyone have any idea what that error code means? I'm dead without my
little baby. :(

my experiences with Virtual PC and Windows 95 are as follows:
on a Duo 2300 with 20MB RAM: Impossible
on a Performa 5400 with a 603e @160 MHz and 56MB RAM: Works well, as if it
where an Intel
'486. It works well with PsiWin, the software I need to connect to my Psion.
Some infotainment
My 2400 died again with click-of-death symptoms last week. The last
time this happened I was able to (apparently) track the problem down
to a faulty or damaged CPU daughterboard connector, which I fixed by
replacing the entire CPU daughterboard (with a spare one provided by
a kind ex-Duolister
