Hi, just got a 2400c. Have bought 64Mb ram to upgrade from 48Mb. I'm worried that I might damage the plastic screw covers whilst dismantling the machine to install the ram. Any suggestions to avoid this or sources for new screw covers? Also anyone know where Main batteries are available? Many th

[Duo2400] Duo 2300c weird problems

I have a Duo 2300c 36Mb 1.1 Gb OS 8.1. I was having some problems with the sound, clicking and distorted system sounds. Now the screen won't turn off, even when shut down! It's either white, white with strange patterns on it, or a washed out version of the desktop before shutdown. Any ideas? Ste

I have a II fx that I use only occasionally, and that wouldn't boot yesterday. I checked its 2 PRAM batteries, and one measures 3.6V (what the battery says it should) and one measures about .3V. They are Maxell ERS3 batteries (1/2 AA); can anyone point me to a source of a new one? Alternatively,

Hi -- this is just a little off from a 2400... but i recently installed 16mb and 24mb modules into a pb1400... the memory modules work well indepentantly of each other.. however, when both are installed, only the 24mb one registers -- and there is a message at boot stating that there was a problem
