Before touching the interior of the machine, touch something metal to
discharge. Typically, when working on a computer you would touch the power
supply to do that. Seems to work just fine as I've yet to hose a machine
from static, but really, do be careful and find a way to discharge. Avoid

My company bought a Sony Vio (whatever the spelling) and it is a nice
machine but I wouldn't say it is tough. Small things fall off etc. I like it
a lot better than my father-in-laws toshiba portable, which has a cracked
hinge. Difficult call there.

memory, as 8.0/8.1 contain more PPC code etc. Ram would be the thing
