Yes, I did it. The only catch was unless you want to grind the frame of the 280, you need to use the trackball. If you are handy with the Dremel, the Trackpad will fit after some minor work. BUT, you won't be going back to the trackball after that mod. I have a 280c that is really a 2300... H
