Yeah, not the fastest dog on the track.

I had a 2300c and also a 280c. When I moved "up" to the 2300 I didn't think
there was any speed advantage at all. The only improvement I realized was
that I could run PowerPC application. I mostly wanted to be able to sync
with my Palm and run the Palm Desktop application as well as email. It's
biggest problem is a lack of backside cache. I don't understand why Apple
left that out.

I have since moved on to a PB1400 with a 400MHz G3 upgrade. Talk about
spoiling me rotten. I could never have used the 2300 as a main computer
unless I only needed the Mac for word processing. As a graphic artist by
trade, I pretty much need the fastest system I can afford...which would
pretty much explain why I'm always broke...hmmm.

Even this 1400/G3 isn't suitable as my primary computer.
