Mark, Out of curiousity, which Apple Disk Utility are you using? It wasn't until recently (MacOS 8.1 and higher, if I remember right) that the Apple Disk Utility would format most non-Apple-ROM'ed drives. If you're trying to format the disk with an older version, it should show up as "Not Suppo
