Use the iMac Software Install CD. SHould work fine.

The very best way if you can do it is to find a developer copy of 8.6 as
it's just a normal install CD - if you know anyone who works at a mac
software company then they'll probably have one or more lying around...

You need to buy it. Look on eBay or in the clearance section of some online
retailers. Around $25, not much more, unless you really need it.
