Actually I didn't use any mounting brackets!
I used two thin strips of rubber about 1/2in wide under each side of the drive
to give a little air circulation underneath and then using my trusty hotmelt
glue gun I carefully glued the drive to the frame in 4 or 5 places.

I'm afraid I can't give any kind of a comparison with an old drive because
I have assembled this Duo from a collection of parts!
The machine seems fairly quick running OS 8.6 with 28MB of Ram
(though not as fast as my 280c/40MB OS8.1).

Intech SpeedTools Drive benchmark utility reports HD performance of
Read  = 2.8 MB per Second
Write = 3.4 MB per Second
