swer you question, no 2.0's not free but you could probably
pick up a shrink-wrapped version of it somewhere on the web for cheaper
than 4.0. Try DealNN or DealMac, not in that order.

I use Freeway 3.0 myself
Just use either GoLive or PageMill on your 2400c, since you don't need to
know any html to start with and they both run just fine on mine and I do
professional pages on my 2400c. I must admit that I use my desktop when I
can, due to the larger screen (getting old sucks!), and its larger capacity

I pay $22 a month for the 38.4k service of ricochet.
The best place to find more info is at their web site.

For the past year and a half, I have happly use it.
When traffic gets bad on 880N before 101 (it's a bay
area thing) I jump off the freeway and duck into
Cramers Bagles.
Ok, vi is one of the original text editors on UNIX. It
was designed to be use w/o a mouse. It is very complex
and/or frustrating to use. Imagine using Simple Text
w/o the mouse (only using arrows) and you have to type
"i" before you can enter text. It is not a program any
sane person would use on
Hi Ajax,
I would have read this thread sooner, but I didn't know what a "web prod"
was. ;-) I have been using Dreamweaver 1.2 for quite a while. I haven't
tried any similar software, so I don't know if it's slow in comparison. It
gets a little wonky when the memory gets low, so I don't usually do

What is the setup and cost of using a Ricochet modem on a 2400c or a G3.Firewire? I
would love to be able to use my cell phone on my laptop but need some advice on how
to go about it. I have nation wide cell service now.

I've done a tad... but I am nowhere close to being a web designer!

I don't know if cost is concern but for about $100 bbedit can't be

back to simpletext.

I used GoLive Cyberstudeo 3.0 on my 180/13/2400c without any problems. I
now run GoLive 5.0 on my 2400c since I upgrading to a 320 Interware
processor last spring. The only problems in web production are my own

I don't have a 2400. Just got a 2300 and have some other assorted duo's.
Anyway I've run GoLive 4.0 on a 3400 with no problem. It's very similar to
the 2400. I don't do web production, just like to fool around.
I believe you can download a demo version of GoLive 5.0 from adobe or other
