Hi all! Anybody could provide me with a pointer as to why there isn't any sound coming from the 280c I finally gave to my son? The weird thing is that it plays the usual chime when turned on, but from then on, nothing. If I plug an earphone, open the Sound CP to select an alert sound, I can hear a faint alert sound when clicking on a new one, but that's pretty much the farthest I can go. I'm not sure about the video cable, since this is the one that was partly fried when I tried to use it as a replacement on my previous 2300c. However, how could the 280c play its startup sound if the cable was wrong? OTOH, this is with a new motherboard I've got from eBay. I could not test it other than by sticking it in my 280c. Any pointer greatly appreciated1 -Laurent. -- ============================================================ Laurent Daudelin <http://home.cox.rr.com/nemesys> Logiciels Nemesys Software mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net!
