The hd on my 2400 broke at Xmas and DT&T put in a 6 gig replacement. I
have partitioned its HFS+ initialisation into:

1 - 2.0 gig - where everything is now (and 'boot disk') except for
2 - 1.64 gig
3 - 1.95 gig. - a backup of the sys folder

I usually copy files via SCSI (and file synch control panel) copying
from my desktop machine (the 2400 in dumb mode). This is not working
now. I get the icons copied but on opening they contain junk characters.
This has stranded me away from home this morning without some data i
need for this week's trip.

Will I be able to fix this problem by copying via 10 base T ethernet in
future? What, in fact, is going on here?

peter
