Why dont you get a Sony MD data player off ebay for $100 - $150
and use that software to title the minidiscs,

the player software is not current and only works up to os 9.1
and is a scsiII 50 pin device
then you can keep the 2400c

this is the setup I use.
and you get to have 140md MO drive for data backup
seach ebay for Minidisc and data
one shows up every few months.

>Hello list,

> Well, I have just acquired a new Sony NetMD walkman, you know, the
>minidisc player that connects via USB. I thought, 'Well, I don't need to

>PowerBook 2400c/180 with stock chip
>80 Megs of RAM
>10 GB Hitachi (I believe) hard disk
>Farallon EtherMac 10Base-T card (new as of two days ago)
>Floppy drive, door and cable
>Apple 'Yo-Yo' AC adapter (made in Thailand, not the flaky one)
>Main battery holds a charge of 2.5 hours; 2nd holds for .5 hour
>Wetsuit 2.0 carrying case in blue
>Apple 300e CD drive and caddy with SCSI cable and power cord
>LaserWriter 300 printer with power cord and serial cable
