After using various types of Duos since 1994, and waiting for Apple to
make a similar size computer to replace my Duo 2300, and finally couldn't
stand it any longer when Apple came out with the latest version of the
iBook.

Although I have seen a comparison of the iBook to the 2400, I have not
seen a comparison to the 2300. I thought that other members of the list
might be interested in the actual comparison, benchmark results, and some
might even be interested in my thoughts.

I have collected all of the above at:

http://homepage.mac.com/dtlinker/2300.vs.iBook.html

The bottom line is that I think that with the exception of the DuoDock,
the iBook is a very good replacement for the 2300.

FYI, the comparison information is taken from the specifications in the
users manuals, and the benchmarks are my own using Speedometer 4.0.
