I am running a pb 2400/400mhz/112 ram/10gig with RATOC firewire PCMCIA card
(thanks to MCE, www.powerbook1.com). However, I feel I will need a larger
hard drive and a second monitor eventually.

I am using a Sony PC-1 mini DV camera with iMovie 2 and find movie editing a
very daunting task. I also have a 19" external monitor attached, but find
with iMovie 2 (allows more shelf clips, etc.), the pb 2400 screen is just
find as I do a lot of editing while traveling.

Do not worry about the jerkiness on iMovie which smooths out using iMovie 2
and, off course, the final product when played back through your camera/VCR
will be smooth again.

Go to www.missingmanuals.com and order David Pogue's, "iMovie, The Missing
Manual." It is well worth the price.
