If I ever had a problem with a Mongolia QSL, I always
resent to JT1CS(Bat) via Japan. Worked every time. I think JT1CS knows every
ham in Mongolia. 73 Russ W4UBC

I have been successful without the "via Japan" part-received a card
back from JT1CN (not CO) in less than 1 month with just "Mongolia".
Didn't know they got routed through Russia, but I guess it makes sense.

Strongly recommend "Mongolia, via Japan".
Otherwise standard USPO routing is via Russia, where it will
disappear.
73 and GL,
I sent both ways to JT1BE several times and
never
received any answer.

Edward,
The thinking is those from the US mailing to just “Mongolia” get routed through Russia and many don’t make it to their intended recipient. Sending
it to “Mongolia via Japan” seems to be a
safer route. I personally have had success via Japan!

The soundcard cowboys strike again
I'm not against using the soundcard and pc for communication on the cheap,
but don't we have enough MFSK modes already? And it doesn't seem
particularly efficient to me.
