I missed the Father, but I did go to his old school a few yrs ago and sadly
all that remained of ham radio there was his 9N1MM call letter baseball cap
sitting on a file cabinet. I wrote about the trip in DX Magazine with
photos.
The Father is still much loved in Kathmandu, of course. 9N1AA
