from Mongolia between April 21st and May 10th. He also plans to operate

22/04/2005: Operators DK8MIL, DK7JAN, DO9BS, DG9BTX and DJ9MD will be
active April 22-26th as DF0TM from Usedom Island (IOTA EU-129, GIA
O-13). Activity will be on 14.260 MHz and other HF bands. They will also
be on local repeaters and try to operate on 2m SSB. QSL via DF0TM

22/04/2005: Look for Gherardo HB0/IZ1DSH, Giovanni HB0/IK1WEG and
Riccardo HB0/IZ1GDB to be active April 22-26th from Liechtenstein. They

22/04/2005: Salvatore, IK1AWV/p, will be active April 22nd (weather
permitting) from the Torre di Terzorio [Terzorio Tower] (DCI reference
IM-076, for the Italian Castles Award), located in the Region of
Liguria, Province of Imperia (IM). Activity will be on 40 and 20 meter

22/04/2005: ON4BAG, ON4LO, ON6QX and ON6UM will be active April 22-25th
as LX/homecall from Luxembourg. They plan to operate on 160-10 meter

23/04/2005: Look for Nicolas, F4AFE/p, and Florent, F4EJL, to be active
April 23-24th from the Château de St. Sixte de Freistroff [Castle of St
Sixth of Freistroff] (DFCF reference 57-007 for the French Castles
Award, DDCF 57-04, CP 57320), located in the Department de Seine et
Marne (77). Activity will be on 40 meters in the morning and other modes
after midday. The activity will take place from 13:00 untill 23:00 UTC

23/04/2005: Pascal, F5LNA/p, will be QRV April 23rd, in the afternoon,
from the Castle of Cappy (DFCF reference for the French Castles Award),
commune of Saint Vaast-de-Longmont and the Castle of Soupiseau (DFCF
60032), commune of Saint-Sauveur. He may also activate the same castles

23/04/2005: Piero, I1ASU, will be active April 23-25th from the Island
of Sardinia (IOTA EU-024, IIA SD-001, MIA MIS-035) for DCI (Italian
castle) activitity. He will activate DCI references in the Provinces of
Oristano (OR), Cagliari (CA) and possibly something from Nuoro (NU).
Look for him on 40 and 20 meter SSB. The Provinces are also good for the

23/04/2005: * SU8IOTA * THE FIRST EVER IOTA ACTIVITY FROM EGYPT *
Hossam SU1HM, Said SU1SK, Tarek SU2TA and Sayed SU1SA plan
to operate as SU8IOTA from Disuqi (aka Nelson) Island in the Nile Delta
and Sinai Region Group (AF-NEW) from April 23rd until 1 May 1st. QSL

23/04/2005: Aki, JA1KAJ, will be active (callsign not known so far)
April 23rd to May 8th from Niue (IOTA OC-040). He plans to operate on

24/04/2005: Nao, JK1FNL, will be active April 24-28th as 3D2NA from
Mana Island (IOTA OC-121), Fiji. He will operate on 40-6 meter CW, SSB

24/04/2005: Look for F8EEQ/p to be QRV April 24th from the Castle of
Roucourt (DFCF reference 59-067 for the French Castles Award, 10M 59-24,

24/04/2005: Marco, IK2TDM/p, will be active April 24-26th from the
following Italian castles located in the Region of Liguria, Province of

Torre-Porta Passorino di Loano [Tower-Door Passorino of Loano] (DCI
reference SV-082) and Torre di Loano [Loano Tower] (DCI reference

25/04/2005: Dr. Rick, NE8Z, will be active as HC1MD from Tumbaco, April
25th to May 11th. He mentions that Tumbaco is located "just over the
hill" from HCJB's massive antenna complex in Pifo, Ecuador. Rick will be
using a Kenwood TS-850s/SB200 + Carolina Windom antenna on 80-10 meters,
CW and SSB. He will be paying special attention to the WARC bands on
this trip. Also, look for Rick to be active on 6 meters CW and SSB with

27/04/2005: Frederic, HB9CQK, will be active April 27 to May 2nd as
S79QK from Denis Island (IOTA AF-024). Activity will be on the 20, 17,

and a 40 meter delta loop antenna. The log will be uploaded to LoTW. If

27/04/2005: Tomas, LY1DF, will activate April 27th as SV8/LY1DF from
the Cyclades Islands (IOTA EU-067). Look for activity on 30 meters and

Alphonse Island (IOTA AF-033). Activity will be on the 20, 17, 15, 12

07/05/2005: Ralph, NM5RC, on his way to Hamvention (May 7-18th) is
hoping to activated new USIs in eight or nine states. Days and time
subject to travel, weather and propagation. Generally in mornings when
wind is calm since he will be using a small folding boat. If you are
nearing USIA-WAS and need Kansas, email him and he will try to email you
with more precise date info; also willing to try other than 20 meters if
that would help. QSL cards will be sent to all contacts; if Ralph has

24/05/2005: Dave, N2NL, will be active May 24-31st as NK4AA from Key

19/06/2005: The week of June 19-25th James, VE3TPZ, will be operating
from various Lighthouses in the Bruce Peninsula, in Ontario, with a
brief tour of Manitoulin Island (CISA ON-001) and some lighthouses on
Monday June 20th. Note this is a bicycle tour trip that James assists
with each year and he will only be operating at night, with exception of
