However, it can not be ruled out that he will stay there longer (maybe a year and a half) due to all the work which has to be done. [Tnx 425DXN] 02/12/2003: The Russian Robinson Club is planning a unique mountain radio-expedition into Africa to the highest apex of African continent - mountain of Kilimanjaro (5985m) in Tanzania. The team plans to climb to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro and erect the Russian Robinson Club flag. The team will consist of RW3GW, RW3GU, RZ3EM, mountain climber Gennadi Khryukin (g.Lipetsk) and video operator and journalist - Boris Mamlin (g.Novosibirsk). The expedition is planned to take place between December 2nd and 17th. Look for them to be active from the United Arab Emirates as A61AR during the evening of December 2nd to 3rd and December 16th to 17th. From Tanzania they will use the call 5H3GW and also 5H3AA (EK6DO), 5H3RK (VK4VB). The climb to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro will take 8 days, while the descent taking 2 days.
