Charles, Yes, there have been several 3 letter suffix calls issued from
Nepal. I have cards from 9N1NFO from 1977. That is Rana, WB4NFO. The other
one is 9N90ILY which was a UNICEF DXpedition in 1990 by the JA operators.
Certainly there have been more, but I just happen to have these cards.

I held the callsign 9N1OAT back in December, 1982 so yes, I can
confirm that a three-letter suffix has been assigned to a 9N1 station.
