As a former phone patch operator for MARS (Military Affiliate Radio
System) during Desert Storm/Shield I'm trying to keep this very important
the program going. It's no secret that there are over 12,000 U.S. troops
in Kuwait. Hard to believe, but there are no Phone Patch Operators
there. I'm working on a possible way, with the help of Jim Sylvester,
AAR2NP, the U.S. Army World Wide Phone Patch Coordinator, to accomplish
this, but need help.

I know this isn't the proper forum for this request but don't know where
else to turn. Please, if anyone knows the name, call sign, or email
address of any Ham, (who is an American Citizen;) military or civilian
that is presently operating in Kuwait City. Send it to me or Jim
Sylvester [EMAIL PROTECTED] We will do our best do get that ham
(if he/she so desires) certified as a U.S. Army Phone patch operator to
help us with this challenge. In the past 9K2ZZ and 9K2JH were American
Hams operating in Kuwait.
