(Islands, Castles & Portable Operations) Update - 22/01/03: According to UA1AKE Alexei (UA1PAC) and Mikhail (RW1AI) are planning to be on McMurdo Base at about 0500 UTC on January 22th and they hope to be active for about two days, mainly January 23th then they will fly to Christchurch January 24th. Look out for KC4/UA1PAC or KC4/RW1AI (or maybe KC4/N2TA). [tnx DL5EBE]
25/01/03: Norbert, F6AXX, and Anne Marie will be on vacation in Senegal from January 25th to February 7th, in the Saly area. The callsign will be 6W7/F6AXX. Look for Norbert every morning and evening, mainly CW, around the following frequencies: 14035, 18090, 21035, 24105, 28035 kHz (+/- QRM). QSL via F6AXX, direct (SASE) or via the French REF bureau. [tnx F5NQL] 25/01/03: Les, G3VQO, and Norman, G0OSX, will be active January 25th as F/G3VQO/P from some mills, which count for the French Mills Award programm, as follow: Moulin de Belle-et-Houllefort (DMF 62.071, Desvres county), Moulin de Conteville-lès-Boulogne (DMF 62.076, Desvres county) and Moulin de Beuvrequen (DMF 62.077, Marquise county). For each mill, they will start on 40 meter SSB, then they will try 80 meters (3762 kHz) and 20 meters (14262kHz). After that they will entry the French REF Cup CW, each time.
