@Danny, this bug caused the Dash to take tens of seconds to appear and

The visual part for this is purely a unity8/shell (thus notification-
frontend) issue. It's on the my workitem-list already for this cycle.

I installed the proposed packages too, it is much better for me now,
although it is still slow while using gimp. In gimp you have to click on
the menu otherwise it do not appear (might be an gimp bug too).

The current release of CUPS does not have this problem. And
unfortunately we do not have time to re-develop fixes for old CUPS
releases that we no longer support in order to work around a design
deficiency in a Linux-specific monitoring application which should not
be using 15-minute lease times
That pretty much fixes it for me.
Maybe not perfect but the system is useable with it.

Merged bug 1246656 here. It's description was:
In 12.04.3 I was able to use Ctrl+Shift+C and Ctrl+Shift+V for copying and
pasting text in gnome-terminal even if my keyboard layout change hotkey is set
to Ctrl+Shift.
In Saucy I can't use these shortcuts in gnome-terminal.

I can easily reproduce this by the following steps:
1. Open LibreOffice Writer.
2. Semi-maximize to the left or right.
3. Drag decoration to top to maximize window and let go.
The window and desktop will
boo! this is a bad tradeoff for usability of a laptop w/trackpad vs.
touchscreens.
please find a way to enable this for laptops w/trackpads ... it's such a
nice feature.
