Unity does not use the GTK scaling-factor setting. Even GTK-based
applications become pretty much unusable if it is set to anything but 1,
at least on my 13 300 PPI test machine.

I discussed this in #phablet with ChickenCutlass, ricmm, and rsalveti.
ricmm says that upower's public API requestDisplayState only works to
keep the screen to stay on, not to wake up. For example, he was not
able to activate the screen with powerd-cli display on.

LIM is not really usable with this bug. Whether the menu drops down or
the menu bar just flashes seems to just be chance. If it is in flash
state it seems that it can always be made to drop down simply by

Thanks for the help Neptilo, i tried the first fix but no luck, im not
sure why but i got error after i upgraded to 14.04 so that might have
had something to do with it.
