I'm not able to reproduce this issue in 14.04 -- the stock user icons in
the User Switcher section of indicator-session update correctly.
This may have been a problem specifically with the header in the user
menu; however, that was removed in 12.10.

One of the things that got cut was the hardware items, so we won't be
adding scanner support to
Matthew, it looks like this was fixed somewhere down the line, probably
with the rewrite that converted everything to GMenu. See attached
screenshot, the checkboxes appear to be aligned now in 14.04.

When exiting the lockscreen, window decorations will sometimes be
transparent or even garbled. This does not happen everytime. One
observation though is even if the decoration is not corrupt, you can
clearly see the decoration get fully drawn a bit

Hi! I had this problem. I've fixed it by removing (or moving)
~ sudo mv /etc/X11/Xsession.d/81overlay-scrollbar .
It may be under a different name, but ending with overlay-scrollbar
Now I can launch any GTK apps without producing redundant output.
